1. Island Prime/C Level in San Diego, CA
Island Prime/C Level is a family-owned and operated business and are run by the Cohn’s and their two children. The family makes it their number one priority to be a part of every aspect in their place. They put a high emphasis on not only being committed to their guests but also their employees. They have more than 1,000 employees. They try to create a work environment that is positive for their team who are always so dedicated. The owners believe that their employees are just as important as your guest; in fact, they believe that each employee is their most important guest. Their restaurants have received many awards including the San Diego Gold Medallion Award along with many other awards. Their menu includes a mix of surf and turf delicacies such as steamed local mussels, seared ahi stack, gigantic white prawns, prime rib, and filet mignon. They also have a good variety of chicken options and a few vegetarian dishes. They’re a great restaurant with phenomenal food and great service.
2. Searsucker in San Diego, CA
Based on the idea of the seersucker suit, the restaurant was built so that guests could dress in their comfortable seersucker suits. They can relax, feel good, and act like they’re on a little vacation. The owners added couches and a DJ. They mixed it with their menu that was based on “new American classics.” They saw the term to be a tongue in cheek in a playful way by taking something that’s familiar to you and then reinventing it. They got their start in the San Diego, CA area but have since expanded beyond the state of California. They feature seven menus: brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks, happy hour, late night, and sweets. On their brunch menu, you can find breakfast favorites like french toast and a dish called green eggs and ham. You can also find plates featuring the local catch of the day and mussels. Their dinner menu has a variety of steaks and some creations you might not be familiar with such as grilled octopus and foie gras mousse. Their drinks, late night, and sweets menus also hold some interesting delicacies including a cocktail named peter rabbit that features a pickled carrot, spicy tuna poke, and warm cookies and horchata.
This restaurant tries to capture a European setting with terrace and library seating, an impressive marble bar, and an upholstered backdrop for the bar. It offers great views of the golf course, arched windows, and the wine cellar located in the center of the room. The location of the wine strategically draws attention to the extensive wine list that Addison has to offer. Some wines they have features includes newly discovered wines from different countries and some of California’s best vintage wines. The food they offer is equally delicious and include such plates such as caramelized sablefish, coddled farm egg, and sake cured kampachi. It’s a great upscale restaurant for whenever you want to eat and feel fancy.
