Colorado State University—Pueblo Thunderwolves
Although only students who are a part of CSU Pueblo can actually be on the teams, the Thunderwolves have a huge range of athletics they participate in, and the city loves to come out to support the college.
The CSU Thunderwolves have men’s and women’s teams in lots of sports; there are basketball, tennis, and soccer teams for both genders. Men’s teams also include golf, football, and wrestling. Women’s athletics include softball, cross country, and volleyball.
There are even more teams than that, though. The Thunderwolves have truly diversified their participation in college athletics, and the city of Pueblo loves them for it.

The city has its own amateur adult football team, called Pueblo Steel. They even have a Facebook page to support and promote their local games and events, and the city loves them. They were established in 2009.
Many of their events actually take place in the nearby city of Colorado Springs, but the city is still proud of their semiprofessional football team. The team hosts events and games as well as other local things to interact with the town.
Pueblo Heroes Lacrosse Club
The city also thoroughly enjoys lacrosse and their lacrosse club is frequented quite often. This group is pretty laid back, but the town loves to attend their events. Locals can even sign up to participate in the sports each year through their open applications.
