Harlingen Soccer Complex
The soccer complex serves as a place that people can go to walk, exercise, or, of course, play soccer. They host the youth soccer team the Arroyo Youth Soccer Club and their games along with a variety of other teams from different leagues throughout the area.
Softball Leagues in Harlingen, TX
The city of Harlingen, Texas has a big softball following with multiple men’s and coed leagues and even a church league. While the church and coeds have only one league to join, the men’s league has four separate leagues for people to join. Their Fall seasons are only a few months long, with their schedule showing only a bit of the games at a time. The current coed schedule runs from the end of October to the beginning of December.
Track and Field
The parks and recreation department of the city also has a summer track and field program for kids that are 6-18 years of age. The program accepts up to 125 participants and they have track meets all throughout the Rio Grande Valley. It’s a great way for a kid to learn the importance of team while getting exercise in. The total amount of fees come out to $40, including the t-shirt, program registration, and TAAF registration fee. Each meet will also cost $5. The program has participants workout Monday through Thursday for two and a half hours starting at 7:30 AM. Track meets are scheduled for Fridays.
7 on 7 Football
The city also has a 7-on-7 Football league every summer. The league features eleven teams that play every Tuesday and Thursday night. They play at Harlingen Field and have six games a night. There’s always a game on Field A and Field B on Tuesdays and Thursday at 7 PM, 8 PM, and 9 PM. Typically, their season runs through June and July and totals eleven games for each team.
