Diversity Day is hosted as the Rowlett Community Centre, and celebrates the city’s diverse population. At this celebration, you can get a taste of a number of different cultures and traditions. Another cultural activity offered by the city is ACTOR (Amateur Community Theatre of Rowlett). Through this theater, local amateur actors create a space for entertaining plays, practice, and fun throughout the year.
The Wet Zone Waterpark in TX
The Wet Zone Waterpark is the waterpark of everyone’s dreams. With slides, water rides, pools, aqua jungle gyms and more galore, it’s impossible to have a bad time at this waterpark. While they no longer offer online ticketing, the park does offer box office ticket pricings, to welcome you and your family to a day of fun. The park also provides swimming lessons, and a number of discounted specials throughout the year so that you, your family, and your friends can have the time of your life for the lowest, and most reasonable prices.
There are always local events going on throughout the city for residents to participate in, and enjoy. Some of these events include the summer concert series and food truck Fridays. Each Friday, there is a different concert to listen to, and a different group of food trucks to feed those empty stomachs in the park throughout the night. There are also a number of sponsorship and vendor opportunities that are going on throughout the year, which locals love to get involved with in their free time.
Rowlett, TX may as well be home of the parks. From Rowlett Creek Preserve, to Lakes of Springfield Park, to Rowlett Community Park, to Pecan Grove Park, there are so many parks that it can be difficult to choose which one to go to first, or which one to go to in general. Each of these parks offers beautiful and relaxing walking and hiking trails, as well as space for recreational fun, picnics, and more. In some parks, such as the Rowlett Community Park, there is even designated space for outdoor athletic activities, as well as space to roam around the area, take in the scenery, or just sit and have a snack.
